Titanium Software is out with its first OnyX update for 2014, adding new features and improvements, as well as the usual round of bug fixes for the company’s highly-regarded utility software for Macintosh computers.

A system-tweaking application distributed as freeware, OnyX is designed to help you improve your workflow via numerous optimization, maintenance, and customization options which you can apply to your Mac as an administrator.

Released earlier today, OnyX 2.8.2 includes a new option to change the background image in the Login window and offers an improved behavior for purging inactive memory. Users can now uninstall the utility from the Help menu, and cache deleting has been enhanced.

The new OnyX also comes with an updated sqlite3 and has new translations for Arab and Spanish users. As always, Softpedia readers can immediately download OnyX 2.8.2 on any Mac running OS X 10.8 (Mountain Lion) at the supplied link.
