14 DAY TRIAL // Online retailer Amazon has incremented its iOS offerings to include a new feature called “Shop by Department,” which allows iPad owners to browse products by category.
In addition to this new feature, Amazon Mobile 2.5.0 introduces iPad support in Japan and China, as well as bug fixes and performance improvements for customers everywhere, including those using the app on iPhone and iPod touch.
Amazon Mobile allows you to sign in with your existing Amazon account and access your cart, payment, and shipping options, as well as to track your orders and use your Prime membership benefits right on your iDevice.
Basically, the app offers the same benefits as the web/desktop version of the service. You can also compare prices and check availability of a certain item instantly.
All purchases are routed through Amazon’s servers, and the app now supports Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.fr, Amazon.com, Amazon.it, Amazon.cn, and Amazon.co.jp.
