14 DAY TRIAL // Baris Derin has released a new version of his Facebook Messenger implementation for OS X. The tool is a simple yet powerful Firefox add-on that enables access to the Facebook chat environment from your browser's sidebar.
Basically eliminating the need to actually go into the Facebook web interface, Facebook Messenger by Baris Derin is a handy tool that not only offers the very useful chatting function, but also displays notifications, messages, and friend invites from the toolbar.
Version 1.7 delivers keyboard shortcut support, according to Mr. Derin. Problem is he doesn’t say which key combination we should use to invoke the messaging interface when both hands are on the keyboard. Guess we’ll have to experiment.
Requirements include Firefox 17.0 for Mac OS X (newer is always better) and you can download the free extension at the link below.
