Issue affects only 13-inch MacBook Air 2013 systems, according to reports

A person familiar with OS X 10.8.5 build 12F20 reportedly noticed that Apple’s latest Mountain Lion beta includes fixes for the screen flickering issues involving MacBook Air systems.

Reported last month by Adobe Systems themselves, the screen flickering would occur when running Photoshop CS6 on one of the newer 13-inch MacBook Air models.

Chris Cox, writing on the company’s forums, said the flicker was “either a bug in the video drivers, or a bad GPU […] though with that kind of flickering I'd also suspect the LCD driver circuits.”

Whatever Apple did to address the issue, it appears it’s gone. The good news comes from MacRumors, which cites a tipster as saying that OS X 10.8.5 build 12F20 finally fixes the Adobe Photoshop flickering problem.
