Apple’s latest Mountain Lion beta includes a truckload of changes, enhancements, tweaks, as well as new features for Apple fanatics out there. The latest beta is out and into the hands of developers worldwide, complete with the official release notes for the final (public) release.

In the changelog accompanying OS X 10.8.2 Build 12C50, Apple mentions that Mountain Lion will (for the first time) include Facebook integration.

Once installed, OS X 10.8.2 will only prompt users to sign in once. After that, it’s all smooth sailing when coming across links and photos you want to share with a click.

Facebook friends’ contact information and profile pictures will be synced with your Contacts, and you’ll get Facebook notifications in Notification Center, according to the changelog.

OS X 10.8.2 is expected to make its public appearance in tandem with iOS 6, as it provides compatibility with latest version of Apple’s mobile OS.
