Brand Finance, a brand-valuation consulting agency, has named Apple the most valuable (or expensive) brand in Silicon Valley today, evaluating it at $104.6 billion (€75 billion).

The agency selected the “Billion Dollar Brands” by estimating the royalty rate that these companies would charge for use of their image, logo, etc. It ranked the top 500 companies in the U.S., and Apple, not surprisingly, came in first with a $104.6 billion (€75 billion) valuation.

Google came in second with an estimated brand value of $68.6 billion (€49 billion).

The Billion Dollar Brands Club enumerates the 50 most valuable brands as being (in this particular order) Apple, Google, Microsoft, Verizon, General Electric, AT&T, Amazon, Walmart, IBM, Coca-Cola, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, McDonalds, Citi, The Home Depot, Walt Disney, Chase, Intel, American Express, Nike, Cisco, Oracle, Ford, HP, Pepsi, UPS, Chevron, CVS, Target, ExxonMobil, Walgreens, Comcast, JP Morgan, Sam’s Club, Marlboro, FedEx, eBay, FOX, Lowe’s, 3M, Unitedhealth, Accenture, Boeing, Costco, Goldman Sachs, Time Warner Cable, Starbucks, Facebook, TimeWarner, and Capital One.
