iPhone Dev Team word-spreader Musclenerd has confirmed on Twitter that ConceitedApps is claiming back its rights to the JailbreakMe.com domain, leaving users of the web-based hack out in the cold. But only temporarily, says the hacker.

Musclenerd wrote on Twitter yesterday, “Since @ConceitedApps sold out for $$, web-based JB is unavailable for all right now.” Musclenerd promises that jailbreaks.me will soon host the same exploit: “Soon on jailbreaks.me soon (please RT),” he wrote.

JailbreakMe.com was the domain used by hacker-extraordinaire Comex (Nicholas Allegra) to promote an iOS jailbreak that many iDevice users have enjoyed for years. Comex now works for Apple.

Musclenerd followed with the response by ConceitedApps who, according to the hacker, said: "he [Comex] is lucky i even let them use it for years after they ‘kicked’ me out. i owe them nothing."
