Mozilla has released Thunderbird 24.2.0, the latest stable version of the company’s powerful email client for Mac, Windows, and Linux computers.

Thunderbird 24.2.0 is a security release which addresses around a dozen bugs affecting the email client, including a mis-issued ANSSI/DCSSI certificate, a JPEG information leak, and a flaw where GetElementIC typed array stubs can be generated outside observed typesets.

Another vulnerability caused trust settings for built-in roots to be ignored during EV certificate validation, while another caused segmentation violation when replacing ordered list elements.

An issue was also been where long messages with multiple signatures could end up unreadable. Editing account settings was not possible in some non-standard configurations of local folder set-ups, but now this issue has been resolved. Other security fixes can be found in the official changelog.
