Bing 4.4.1 is available for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad device owners who prefer Microsoft’s alternative to web searching – as opposed to Google’s – or why not, the best of both worlds.

Microsoft makes Bing a more personal and engaging experience compared to Google. The Windows maker allows customers to keep up with trending stories and all kinds of cool images, with the ability to save the daily homepage photos to use as wallpaper. Customers can save and sync their bookmarks across Bing apps and use Bing Maps to navigate.

It’s pretty much the same package of services that Google has to offer, but in a much more condensed (and intuitive) manner. Version 4.4.1 promises to be even better with the added ability to enable and disable the shake feature and a simplified bookmarks layout. Microsoft also addressed some bugs, which should result in improved performance, according to the company.

The supported languages are still only English and Simplified Chinese, and the software requirement remains iOS 4.3. Most iDevices are supported, starting with iPhone 3GS, iPad (all generations), and iPod touch third-generation. Download Bing 4.4.1 for your respective device at the supplied link. The app is completely free and Microsoft releases regular updates to improve the customer’s experience.
