Show off your photos from whichever device you’re using at any given time

Photo Stream, one of the coolest functions in iCloud, is set to debut next week as a free service.

“With iCloud, when you take a photo on one device, it automatically appears on all your other devices. No syncing. No sending. Your photos are just there. Everywhere you want them,” says Apple.

With Stream, you can take a photo on your iPhone / iPad 2, or import one from your digital camera to your computer, and let iCloud automatically push a copy of that photo to the Photos app on your iOS devices.

Do do that, iCloud reaches out to any available Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection, and it also integrates with iPhoto or Aperture on your Mac, and the Pictures Library on your Windows PC.

Users can even employ the Apple TV to view their Photo Stream albums.

“So you can show off your shots to friends and family from whichever device you’re using at the time,” Apple concludes. Learn more about iCloud’s Photo Stream here.
