Final GIF Cut, a tool that converts video files to GIFs, has gone free. Available in the Mac App Store’s Video section, Final GIF Cut can help you make a funny GIF from any video format.

The app supports anything from FLV, WMV, and AVI, to MOV, MP4, etc. Users can employ simple editing tools like crop, add text, watermark, and others. The interface is extremely user-friendly.

There’s a catch, though. This free version of the app adds a watermark to your final work. If you want to get rid of it, you’ll need to purchase the app at the full price ($4.99/€3.99).

The software is compatible with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, as well as with OS X 10.7 Lion and OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion.
