In the release notes for OS X 10.8 Build 12A178Q (Mountain Lion Developer Preview 3) Apple is listing a slew of Macintosh computers that are compatible with the new seed. All these systems are likely to be supported by the final version of the software when it ships this summer, but not necessarily.

Listed under “Architecture Requirements”, the Macintosh configurations supported by OS X Mountain Lion Developer Preview 3 are: iMac (Mid 2007 or later); MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later); MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid/Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later); MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later); Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later); Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later).

When the final version of OS X Mountain Lion ships in late summer, Apple may decide to drop support for some of the older computers mentioned above, such as the 2007 iMacs and Mac minis.
