American customers get a sweet deal from Apple’s refurbs section today

A current-generation MacBook Air refurb featuring some impressive hardware specs can be yours today for just $999, which is the base price for a lower-specced model sold brand new.

This refurbished MacBook Air boasts Intel’s 1.6GHz Core i5 (dual-core) processor, an 11.6-inch (diagonal) high-resolution LED-backlit glossy widescreen display, 4GB of memory, 128GB of flash storage (SSD), a Thunderbolt port with support for up to 2560-by-1600 resolution, the FaceTime camera, and Intel HD Graphics 3000.

The system was originally released July 2011. Customers buying this computer for $999 save $200 for the doubled memory and storage. The offer is available only to US residents.
