Logitech has launched a brand new iPad accessory which consists of a case and a keyboard, as well as two solar cells that ensure you never have to swap batteries, ever.

The Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio has been specifically designed for the new, third-generation iPad. It also works with the iPad 2. It’s an ultra-slim, book-style case & keyboard that offers protection and is powered by light.

The product is similar to Logitech’s solar keyboards for Mac and PC, as it includes onboard solar cells that charge the built-in Bluetooth keyboard in any light, even indoors.

“When fully charged, the battery lasts for up to two years, even in complete darkness (based on a average use of two hours per day),” says Logitech.

Expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning May 2012, the Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio will sell for $129.99 (around 100 EUR). Interested parties can visit the official Logitech site at www.logitech.com for more information.
