The Document Foundation floods first RC 4.2.1 release with fixes

After the ceremonious launch of LibreOffice 4.2.0 Final last month, The Document Foundation today rolled out the first release candidate of LibreOffice 4.2.1, the next major version of the cross-platform office suite.

I can’t be bothered to relay all the fixes mentioned in the changelog, but let’s just say there are plenty to go around for everyone. And you can expect just as many issues with the build, since it’s the earliest RC in the 4.2.1 branch.

That being said, I wouldn’t recommend using LibreOffice 4.2.1 RC 1 for work-related tasks, as it may cause your computer to explode. I exaggerate, of course, but you could lose an important document or two, so be wary of RC builds whenever the boss asks you to put something on his desk first thing in the morning.

Using the links below you can grab these RC builds for testing on Mac, Windows, or Linux, or the latest Stable builds, if you don’t like living on the edge.
