The popular page-saving Instapaper has gained Retina display support as well as numerous other enhancements in version 4.1 - now available from the iTunes App Store as free download for existing users.
A five-dollar app (or about 4 EUR), Instapaper saves web pages for offline reading. The software has been featured by Apple in its promotional materials for iPhone and iPad. A new version is now available - 4.1.
First off, the developers warn that Instapaper now requires iOS 5. Next, they provide a lengthy change log which mentions: six new professional fonts designed for long-form reading and maximum legibility; a full-screen mode; twilight Sepia; new gestures to exit an article and return to the list; Retina display graphics for new iPad; and numerous bug fixes and improvements.
