Popular image sharing service Instagram was in desperate need of Camera Roll integration on the iPhone, so the developers churned out an update this week adding this much-requested functionality.

The announcement over at the Instagram blog says, “We’ve included a few of the most requested features and added something special as well.”

Instagram 4.1 lets you share videos from your camera roll, and includes a new feature that lets you straighten your photos when you take them with the Instagram camera.

Often are the times when you capture a breathtaking sunset with a crooked horizon. Now, when your only shot where your hands didn’t shake needs leveling, simply tap the new Straighten icon and your photo will level. For manual adjusting, use the slider.

Thanks to this update, users can also choose how they square-crop a video clip.
