In anticipation of the iPad 3 launch, Apple has made a few minor adjustments to the iPad’s App Store interface. Users can now scroll sideways in the Featured category, where customers can access the top-25 paid and free apps for Apple tablets.

Not only that, but all 25 apps are pre-loaded on the page, which means customers no longer have to make an additional tap to load another set of apps to display on screen. The scrolling is incredibly smooth and accurate.

Joaquin Ruiz, CEO of Catalog Spree, a catalog app for the iPad, has noticed another change, “Apple has added a new top level category called ‘Catalogs’ to the App Store.”

“As of yet, there are no listed apps in that category but we expect that to change […] after Apple’s ‘iPad 3″ announcement,” says Ruiz.
