During a radio interview yesterday, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster reiterated his beliefs that Apple will, at one point this year, introduce its much-hyped TV product. Munster expects fall availability.

“It’s going to live up to some of the building hype,” he reportedly said. “It will be the biggest thing in consumer electronics since the smartphone,” Munster believes.

He weighed in on the design, saying the iTV “will look different” than your regular television. “Imagine just a sheet of glass – no edges or bevels.”

- Editor's note - Everyone can imagine that, Mr. Munster. It’s one thing to convey this design element to the world after you’ve seen it with your own eyes. It’s a totally different thing to say “imagine” when you're letting your own imagination run wild.

The launch of an Apple TV is only a matter of time. You need common sense to know that, not analysts. They say Munster is the most vocal guy on the Apple HDTV matter. That’s simply because he estimated the product’s existence (and launch) an exaggerated amount of times.
