Foxconn has filed some papers with the Taiwan Stock Exchange (TSE) according to which its subsidiaries in Shenzhen and Zhengzhou have handed some expensive equipment to Apple.

The news spurred rumors that Hon Hai Precision Industry (trading under the Foxconn name) had lost some of its iPhone and iPad orders with Apple.

According to DigiTimes, “the Chinese-language Commercial Times quoted unnamed industry sources as saying that the NT$6.5 billion worth of CNC machines will be transferred to Compal Electronics' Nanjing, China plant as a result of the loss of some of its orders from Apple.”

Foxconn quickly responded and “solemnly” denied the rumors “stressing they are groundless and merely speculation.” Terry Gou’s company added that it “has a solid relationship with the customer [Apple].”

As usual, the media is jumping the gun as if they want Apple and Foxconn to have a failing relationship. Isn’t the war with Samsung and Google enough for these people?
