The iOS app might ask you a quick question when you check in now

Foursquare, the service that relies on the check-in concept for tagging restaurants, bars and deals, has been updated for iOS platforms to include a nag screen.

Don’t worry, it’s not meant to annoy you (though it probably will, at times). It’s meant to enable you to teach Foursquare which restaurants offer certain perks, like outdoor seating, home delivery, credit card payments, and so on.

The developers explain it best, “Does your local restaurant have outdoor seating? Deliver? Take credit cards? Now, after you check in on Foursquare, we might ask you a quick question.”

The people at Foursquare Labs appreciate your help, but they don’t say whether you can refuse to help out.

“Also, in case you missed the last update, the app now starts twice as fast,” the developers add.
