Evernote’s handy Food app has received a new update that targets people who like to photograph their dishes.

The company, which started out with a simple note-taking app, now sells a bunch of different apps for different platforms, including a gastronomy app called Evernote Food.

You can use it to discover delicious new recipes, restaurants, as well as to add notes and photos to remember food experiences.

Evernote Food 2.3 now offers a Food Light feature to take better photos of the meals you want to remember in low-light conditions. Users can toggle the feature On or Off from the camera screen in My Meals.

“This new feature eliminates the need to settle for the grainy or washed out images created with a standard flash,” says the company.

While they were at it, Evernote also decided to throw in some filters to go with those crisp photos.

Evernote Food 2.3 includes a new collection of image filters created by the Evernote Food team “to subtly enhance your photos and make your meals even more shareable.” Lastly, you can now rotate images to appear as you want them to.
