14 DAY TRIAL // Yahoo!’s Flickr app has received some maintenance today. Version 2.11.820 of the iOS client adds hashtags for photos, and you can even participate in Flickr’s weekly photo contest.
Flickr version 2.11.820 is out in the App Store today with a cool enhancement which lets you “add a hashtag in your photo's title or description, tap on the hashtag and instantly see all photos with that hashtag.” The hashtags work exactly like they do on Twitter.
If you punch in #FlickrFriday you’ll automatically be added to the FlickrFriday contest with whatever photo you choose to tag. For details on Flickr's weekly photo challenge, including the weekly theme, Yahoo! provides this URL.
The developers were also able to squash a few minor bugs in this release, according to the changelog.
