Feral Interactive has announced the Mac version of its genetically enhanced role-playing shooter, BioShock 2. The game will be released for Mac OS X in January 2012.

BioShock 2 continues the story of the first installment with new dual wielding gameplay, new plasmids, and a Big Sister chasing you all the way throughout Rapture’s leaking corridors, to name some of the new additions.

The game is set in an alternative 1968. Players are plunged back into the ruins of a city built undersea as a radical experiment in libertarian government that collapsed into a vicious civil war.

According to David Stephen, Managing Director of Feral Interactive, “BioShock 2 shows Rapture in a completely new light. By allowing players to be a Big Daddy, it explores the emotional consequences of the Rapture project.”
