14 DAY TRIAL // Ndemic Creations’ “viral” game Plague Inc. has received a major update. In addition to trying to end human history by evolving a deadly plague, you get to experiment with real life diseases.
Plague Inc. 1.7.1 is dubbed the “Mutation 7” update. It brings an expansion pack with new scenarios and 14 new gameplay modes that let you experiment with real life diseases. In this update you’ll get to “significantly alter the world,” says Ndemic.
Players must develop new strategies and approaches to see if they can infect a healthy world using The Black Death (a strain eradicated 700 years ago), a US Debt Default (which creates a global financial meltdown), Global Warming, Smallpox, Volcanic Eruptions, the famous H1N1 virus, and more
Other cool additions include new events and achievements, performance improvements across the board (all iOS versions and all device models that are supported, starting with iOS 4.3), game balance tweaks, AI tweaks, and some bug fixes.
A future update is already planned, according to Ndemic. Players are urged to note that saves will not be kept during the update procedure, though progress/unlocks will remain intact. Download Plague Inc. for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
