Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. has released the EnerPlex charger for iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. It weighs only 72 grams and can “dramatically” increase your device’s autonomy, according to Ascent.

The EnerPlex uses flexible solar panels to provide supplementary charging with sunlight, in addition to conventional charging methods. It is touted as the thinnest and lightest solar-enabled iPhone case on the market.

With a full charge, the EnerPlex charger adds up to 170 hours of standby time, up to 3.5 hours of web surfing, up to 5.6 hours of Wi-Fi, up to 19 hours of audio play, and up to 5.6 hours of video playback.

The EnerPlex cases are immediately purchasable from select retailers and online through the distributor’s website at www.h3p.co.kr. Several popular online stores in Korea also carry the charger. Ascent says you can grab one at Naver’s “Shop N” and E-Bay Korea’s “G-Market.”
