Dropbox 2.6.2 RC is out for OS X, Windows, and Linux users with a couple of fixes addressing “unlink” issues and Growl incompatibility, the latter being a platform-specific tweak for Mac users.
As version 2.6.2 is getting prepared for its Final debut, the latest release candidate arrives today with a number of fixes for all supported platforms.
A cross-platform code correction reportedly prevents users from getting unlinked when they downgrade to Dropbox 2.6 from upcoming builds. On the Mac, Growl compatibility has been addressed under OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard). Growl is a third-party notification system for users who don’t have an OS X version with Notification Center, or prefer a secondary / alternate alert system.
As usual, Softpedia readers can download the latest Dropbox builds at the supplied links. Both beta and stable versions are available for each platform.
