Nuance Communications, Inc has announced that its introductory voice recognition app for Mac OS X Lion, Dragon Express has debuted in seven new countries. The app also adds three new languages to its portfolio.

Dragon Express is a fast, hands-free solution that allows you to convert speech into text. It’s used to send email, post updates to Facebook and Twitter, and even surf the Web. It’s got pretty much the same voice-recognition algorithms as Siri, just so you know.

“Dragon Express is an easy and fun way to put words to work without the hassle of typing, allowing users to do more in less time,” says Nuance.

Dragon Express 1.1 is the latest version which supports French in Canada, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland, German in Austria, Germany and Switzerland, Italian in Italy, and US/UK English in the United States.

It’s available exclusively from Apple’s Mac App Store at an introductory price.
