Viber Media Inc. has pushed out a minor update for users of its iOS client application which allows iDevice owners to communicate with each other and avoid carrier fees.

A VoIP application that includes instant-messaging capabilities, Viber is one of the most popular services of its kind. But it’s not without its woes.

Although there are few reports of the app misbehaving on certain iDevice / iOS configurations, rest assured that there are numerous users out there who are having a bad experience.

Some say the app crashes on launch, while others continue to crave an iOS 7-centric design. Sadly, the latter request still isn’t fulfilled in Viber 4.1.1, the latest version of the app released earlier today. However, the update does promise to deal a blow to some bugs, so at least one group of users will be happier starting today. Download the new Viber 4.1.1 and take it for a spin today.
