Designed by CityMaps and released in cooperation with NYC & Company, NYC Map aims to “help tourists and locals navigate New York City,” said company co-founder Elliot Cohen. “Our map helps people find their way around, discover the hidden gems of New York and find all the information about the city on the web in one destination,” added Cohen.
In addition to all the aforementioned services, users also get real-time display of available daily deals from the likes of Groupon, Living Social, restaurants.com, nycgo.com and more.
NYC spokeswoman Tiffany Townsend said that NYC Map was iPhone-only for now, and that their goal was “to expand to Android, Blackberry, et cetera, with the continued success of the partnership."
