14 DAY TRIAL // WinZip Computing LLC has released an updated version of the company’s mobile unarchiver which supports not only ZIP formats, but RAR files too.
WinZip iOS 1.1.2 lets you browse and view the contents of your Zip or RAR files, extract files from Zip or RAR archives to view or edit in another app, copy the contents of archives to the clipboard, or open archives from email attachments.
In Version 1.1.2, WinZIP finally supports the iPhone 5 natively, and enables iAd support for the free version. A bunch of bugs are also fixed, but the developer fails to mention which ones. It’s safe to say it’s probably a good idea to update if the app has been misbehaving on your handset.
WinZip requires iOS 4.3 and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad.
