14 DAY TRIAL // After two frustrating days of being locked out of WhatsApp, users on iOS 4 and iOS 5 can breathe a sigh of relief as a new version is now available for download.
WhatsApp 2.11.7 is immediately available from the iTunes Store with the following note from its creators: “make the app work again for iOS 4 and iOS 5 users.”
Softpedia was the first to report the crashing bugs in WhatsApp 2.11.6 earlier this week, and soon thereafter WhatsApp itself confirmed the existence of the flaw. The communications company also revealed that a fix had been submitted to Apple for approval.
iPhone users can download WhatsApp 2.11.7 for any iOS version starting with 4.3. Although the changelog mentions iOS 4 and iOS 5 as the affected operating systems, we’ve had reports of iOS 6 and even iOS 7 handsets being plagued by said bugs.
