Azureus Software Inc. has released a major new version of its popular BitTorrent client for Mac users, Vuze 5. Version 5.0.0.1 Beta 2 is already available, packing preliminary tweaks and fixes.

After rolling out the new Vuze 5 (formerly Azureus) this week, Azureus published two subsequent beta updates this week, the latest of which adds a few tweaks and improvements.

Vuze 5.0.0.1 Beta 2 adds a column header right-click option to the Order column which allows users to enable/disable the down green/blue icons. The default position is ON in views that contain both complete and incomplete downloads. Others will be shown as OFF.

The sidebar popup menu is making a comeback. Advanced users will notice that Azureus has added console UI support for plugin install/uninstall and update, as well as console UI commands to enable/disable pairing.
