14 DAY TRIAL // Vuze, the popular BitTorrent utility formerly known as Azureus, has been promoted to version 4.9.0.0 today. The new release adds new features that improve the usability of the program, as well as support for a new 3DView plugin.
Vuze 4.9 adds a convenient right-click context menu to its Library views which enables users to pause downloads.
A new option to lookup files with the same size in the ‘open torrent’ dialog is now available, allowing the location of alternative torrents for the same content.
Power users will tell you that the feature already existed as a right-click menu in Library/Files views. Less savvy users apparently needed a quicker way to access this functionality. To use it, you’ll be required to update to version 0.3.3 of the swarm discoveries plugin, according to Azureus Software Inc.
Finally, a new version of the 3DView plugin is now available with improved rendering.
