The Tor Project has released a new version of its powerful web browser for surfing the web anonymously, delivering some front-end changes as well as under-the-hood code tweaks.

The latest version number for the new TOR Browser Bundle (2.3.25-14) indicates that this is a stable release.

The developers have included support for Firefox 17.0.10esr, NoScript 2.6.8.4, and HTTPS-Everywhere 3.4.2.

Firefox patch changes include a hidden infobar for missing plugins, a changed default entry page for the addons tab to the installed addons page, and click-to-play Flash objects (if flash is enabled).

The update further removes polipo and privoxy from the banned ports list, and includes fixes for a potential memory leak in the Image Cache isolation, and a potential crash if the OS theme information is absent at a given time.
