14 DAY TRIAL // Celebrating the debut of The Lone Ranger in theaters this week, Disney has rolled out the official video game with the same name on iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.
A typical RPG inspired by the motion picture released yesterday, The Lone Ranger lets you interact with known allies and outlaws, duel bandits, level up to unlock new weapons, tools, and horses, and restore peace to the town of Colby.
“Saddle up and take the reins as one of the greatest Texas Rangers in the Wild West. […] Protect the citizens of Colby, and embark on legendary quests to end greed and corruption,” says Disney.
The game has already received a minor update which squashes bugs. The Lone Ranger by Disney is a free download which requires iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), and iPad, as well as iOS 5.0 or later.
