TechTool Pro 7.0.4 Build 998 is available for download on Macintosh computers with fixes for crashes under OS X 10.9.3, Video Memory test fixes, updated languages, and many other code corrections.

Last updated in April, before OS X 10.9.3 made its appearance, TechTool Pro has received a new update today adding better support for the new Mavericks version as well as other fixes meant to provide more compatibility. For example, the update addresses an issue where Video Memory test would not run after updating to OS X 10.9.3.

A reported flaw with the Volume Cloning tool for OS X 10.8 and OS X 10.9 is also addressed and the Bonjour service names for the Local Network tool have been updated. Localizations for French, German, Italian, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified) are more accurate, and “many additional machine and location identification strings,” are packed in the TechTool Pro 7.0.4 Build 998 release.

A pricey maintenance tool, TechTool Pro lets you troubleshoot your Mac and diagnose any potential problems. For instance, you can employ its help to easily repair volumes without data loss, create emergency startup partitions and clone your volume, optimize and speed up your Mac.

According to developer Micromat, “Most drive problems result from data being in the wrong place, and can be repaired using Techtool Pro’s Volume Rebuild tool.” Download TechTool Pro 7.0.4 on any Intel Mac running OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard or later.
