14 DAY TRIAL // SEGA has announced a weekend sale on all Sonic games for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Most notable is Sonic Dash, the endless running game featuring SEGA’s mascot, which now sells for just $0.99/€0.89.
SEGA’s Sonic games haven’t been spectacular on iOS platforms (nor on any other platform) in recent years, but the company has managed to find a suitable role for the furry mascot. Interesting to note is that Sonic Dash emerged right around the time it became obvious that running games were huge sellers.
And it’s not shy of copying the likes of Temple Run either, but since the graphics are different – and Sonic has always been the running type – you can’t really put your finger on it.
