Microsoft has released a new version of its popular video chatting client Skype, adding Video Messaging improvements and new ways to call for Mac users.

Skype 6.5 reflects Microsoft’s continued efforts to improve video messaging while it’s in beta.

“Video messaging enables you to share life moments with contacts whether they’re on or offline,” reads a blog post signed Aga Guzik.

The new Video Messaging feature does away with the title and description and includes some backend optimizations.

Skype users on the Mac will also be able to call others easier by simply pasting a number directly into the dial pad.

Numerous fixed bugs are also listed in the changelog, such as a Contacts bug where the scroll bar did not display when sending multiple contacts, or a Calling error where call duration history was incorrectly displayed.

As usual, the development team is eagerly awaiting your feedback to continue to improve your Skype OS X experience.
