Skype has rolled out a new beta version of their powerful IM & video chatting client for Mac users. The team of developers behind the Mac Skype client urges users to provide feedback so that they can tailor the app to their needs.

Skype 5.5 for Mac Beta delivers an improved Call UI, and the ability to accept incoming calls with or without video, according to Krishna Panicker, product manager, Skype for Mac.

Several improvements in call quality and stabilization have been made, and the improved discoverability of Skype's Call should allow Mac users to “easily mute their microphone, send video, share their screen, send files and even add more people during a call.”

Panicker ends his post saying, “We would like to encourage our most frequent users to try this build and provide feedback on the new call functionality - your ongoing feedback plays a significant role in helping us drive continuous product improvement.”
