Titanium Software today is offering OnyX 2.8.3 Beta 4 for OS X Mavericks, a new version of the company’s optimization and maintenance utility for power users.

Equipped with pretty much every tool you’ll ever need to keep your Mac running smoothly, OnyX is a donationware utility developed and distributed free of charge by Titanium Software since the dawn of time.

Various installments are available for download from Softpedia, including versions for ancient OS X iterations dating as far back as the early 2000s.

OnyX 2.8.3 Beta 4 is the latest build available. Targeting OS X Mavericks computers, the release comes without a changelog, and it may not be the best choice for regular users.

For example, this version tells me I need to repair my startup disk, something I’m not sure I can believe. For best results, always grab the latest Stable release (in this case, OnyX 2.8.2).
