Titanium Software has released a new beta version of OnyX, the company’s OS X app designed to help users perform optimization, maintenance, and customization.

Available as a free download since the dawn of time, OnyX continues to support OS X versions from Jaguar, Panther, and Tiger, to the newest Lions and even Mavericks (OS X 10.9).

OnyX 2.8.2 is now in development, and while the final version is still not complete, Mac users can download and test the newest beta on their computers.

OnyX 2.8.2 Beta 2 comes with a new option to change the background image in the Login window, and addresses a bug that trickles in while purging inactive memory. Users can now uninstall the app from the Help menu, while Arab and Spanish customers will now see the interface translated in their native tongue.

Download OnyX for Mac from Softpedia using the provided link. The latest stable version is OnyX 2.8.1, if you want a more reliable build.
