Mojang has released a new version of the uber-popular Minecraft - Pocket Edition for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad gamers, fixing some multiplayer bugs and a bunch of issues with Realms.

Arguably one of the most successful franchises in the history of gaming, Minecraft has garnered millions of adopters worldwide. A good chunk of those gamers are iOS users, playing the Pocket Edition of the title on iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch devices.

For this group, Mojang has a fresh update today. Minecraft - Pocket Edition 0.8.1 is a maintenance release, but one that should make your day if you happen to be experiencing issues with multiplayer and Realms.

Mojang claims to have included “many fixes” in these two areas, while players who haven’t yet updated to version 0.8.0 will be getting a lot more surprises, including minecarts, rails, powered rails, new textures and colors, new blocks, new AI, more items to use in Creative Mode, and other cool stuff. Download Minecraft - Pocket Edition 0.8.1 for any iOS 5 device today.
