Mojang has just released the most awesome update for fans of Minecraft – Pocket Edition, adding chests for storage, beds for skipping to dawn, Creepers and TNT, and a whole lot more.

It’s no wonder Minecraft is so popular these days. Not only can you play it on your iPhone, it’s also getting some of the best features ever. It’s almost as if the game has been reborn with the release of the Pocket Edition.

Speaking of which, the iOS implementation has reached version 0.4.0 – touted by its creators as a “major release.”

Players will get chests for storing items, and beds for skipping to dawn. Mojang says days and nights are now longer, so you should set your spawn point to the bed's position.

You can now use flint and steel to ignite TNT (creepers also added), and you can now eat food to replenish your character. A peaceful mode setting features healing and no monsters.

Other enhancements include: farming; wheat, seeds and hoe; trapdoor, new dyes and a few new recipes; around 20 bug fixes and tweaks.
