The controversial days of GTA may be over, but the San Andreas installment lives on in the hearts of diehard fans worldwide, and that includes thousands of iOS gamers who are reliving the experience that practically defined the sandbox genre.

An update is available today from Rockstar Games, one that addresses a couple of issues with the iOS port of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. If you’ve been having problems with the game, this update might feel like a much deserved health pack on a mission to Vinewood.

Version 1.01 promises to fix random crash issues experienced by “some users” (meaning certain device configurations). The new version further updates controller mappings for supported controllers and delivers a bunch of minor bug fixes.

Rockstar asks users to note that “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is only supported on the following devices: iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad 2, 3rd and 4th generation, iPad Air, iPad Mini and iPad Mini with Retina Display.”

With that out of the way, everyone’s invited to download Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and reminisce.
