New bug fixes released for Chrome testers on Mac, Windows, and Linux

The Chrome Dev channel has been updated two consecutive times in the past few hours, delivering fixes and tweaks for Mac, Windows, and Linux testers of Google’s web browser.

Google initially deployed Chrome 36.0.1964.2 for Windows, Mac, and Linux with one notable change that reduces the size of the FileDownloader interface as part of moving FileDownloader logic out of the trusted plugin.

Soon thereafter Chrome 36.0.1964.4 was rolled out, but only for Windows and Mac. Apparently, this build addresses an issue with the ReleaseResources component. These releases arrive shortly after a new beta was deployed (Chrome 35.0.1916.47), which fixed a number of crashes and other bugs.

The latest stable version of the browser is Google Chrome 34.0.1847.116, which arrived on April 8. The update brought responsive Images and Unprefixed Web Audio, the ability to import supervised users onto new computers, a number of new apps/extension APIs, a new look for Windows 8 Metro mode, and various code corrections under the hood.

The system requirements remain unchanged, and users can pick their preferred version from the links below, with the newest Dev builds highlighted.
