The FrostWire Team is out with a new version of the company’s free file sharing software that allows you to swap files, big and small, with others on the web.

An open source and cross-platform app that runs natively on Mac, Windows, and Linux operating systems, Frostwire has been promoted to version 5.6.4 today, delivering improved readability of stream sources in the player title.

The update further addresses bugs involving media source icons for Internet streams not being shown more than once on search result preview playback. Finally, a UX Patch makes the new ‘Search’ tab act as a search button.

FrostWire 5.6.4 requires Java 2 Standard Edition Runtime Environment and is compatible with every OS X version currently in circulation. The software is free to download and use indefinitely.
