“With the new Foursquare 6.0, we’ve crunched our billions of check-ins to instantly show you the most interesting things nearby,” says Foursquare Labs.
The developers say these insights are only available in Foursquare, and they pop up the moment you launch it on your iPhone. The front-and-center search is also new, and allows users to find places and attractions much faster.
“You can search Explore from the top of the app as soon as you open it up, so you can find what you’re craving even faster,” the developers note.
The new Foursquare will notify you about up and coming locations and venues, such as a new restaurant that has just opened a few blocks away.
