Firebug, an essential add-on for web developers working with Mozilla’s Firefox web browser, has received a new update today adding a few fixes and enhancements, including a preference to disable log message grouping.

Firebug contains an army of development tools that users can employ while browsing. The add-on provides web development tools to edit, debug, and monitor CSS, HTML, and JavaScript elements on any webpage.

Version 1.12.1 corrects “currentcolor” previews, addresses an issue with SVG icons not being displayed on specific MIME type settings, allows bypassing of “Clear Activation List” confirmation, and adds a preference to disable log message grouping.

The update also fixes a bug where the “Copy Property Declaration” command copies an invalid style declaration.

Firebug 1.12.1 works with Firefox 23.0 and later versions. The tool is cross-platform, meaning it works with Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux.
