Final Fantasy IV: The After Years, a new version of the highly-acclaimed role-playing game from Japanese publisher Square Enix, is now available on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.

Featuring ten playable tales, active time battle, lunar phases, band abilities, Game Center integration and full-screen support for the newest iDevices, Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is a full 3D remake of an older FF4 installment co-developed by Matrix Software and Square Enix as the sequel to the 1991 title Final Fantasy IV.

Players begin their journey with “Ceodore's Tale,” which they must complete to unlock the tales of six additional characters.

iOS gamers must pay $14.99 / €14,49 to download Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. Compatibility starts at iPhone 3GS, going by the system requirements, since the game runs on iOS 4.3. Theoretically, any iDevice younger than iPhone 3G should be supported.
